Bala House Community Generously Donates over $50,000 to the 2006-07 Annual Fund and Helps Open the Doors to the New Bala House!

Through the financial support of Bala House's generous community, last year's Annual Giving campaign raised over $50,000 for the Edith C. Aherne Building Fund. These funds were generously matched, dollar for dollar by Robert Urquhart, in memory of his wife and dearly loved Bala House mom, Edith Aherne. Thank you to all our current and alumni families, staff, trustees, and grand friends that contributed to last year's amazing success!

One highlight from the 2006-07 Annual Giving Campaign was receiving a $5000 donation from one of our families. Due to a corporate matching gift program and Robert Urquhart's generous matching gift, this $5000 gift resulted in $20,000 for our new Bala House facility.

Robert Urquhart Generously Donates $100,000 to the
Edith C. Aherne Building Fund

Friends and family of Edith Aherne and Robert Urquhart donated $50,000 to the Edith C. Aherne Building Fund, in memory of Edith, devoted wife and mother of three Bala House children. In addition to matching the $50,000 raised by The Bala House community, Robert also matched these gifts, generously donating a total of $100,000 to the Edith C. Aherne Building Fund.
